It's ok, the stacking mechanic is unique and interesting, but that's
about all it's got going for it. Story is rather meh, told though
vignettes made to look like old films, and largely uninteresting. The
special effects that are on by default, vignette and DOF were really
annoying and made it harder to see the world so had to turn those off.
Worlds aren't too stunning or complex, each being a new form of
transportation (train, boat, airship) with a tiny list of objectives.
If your not a 100% completionist you'd probably burn through this game in
an hour or two. Even if you are it just feels like work. The game asks
you to do increasingly arbitrary and meaningless gags with the various
dolls whose abilities have no use in gameplay and are merely there just
to make the world seem not as bland and boring as it is.
Costume Quest and Psychonauts are much better experiences, so if your
new to Double Fine games, those are much better games to start.
TL;DR : Not satisfying, rather boring.
